celebratory self indulgence

allow me a moment of celebration.

yesterday was about reflection. Today is about the facts baby, the facts.

Since its inception on December 11, 2007 this blog has…..

  • gone from 1 to an average of 54 hits a day.
  • had 18,444 total views.
  • there have been 642 comments on a total of 234 posts.
  • and Akismet has protect my site from 1,086 spam items. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  • The busiest day ever was Tuesday, September 2, 2008.
  • 399 hits in one day!!!!! This was shortly after Ginny was born. So we think the numbers were generated by our birth announcement e-mail that went out.

I wish there was some way to track the prayers that this blog has generated. People asking me for prayer, times I have asked my readers for prayer. But sweeter than all are the times that people have spontaneously contacted me saying that something in what I wrote reached them in some way and they prayed.

Even if this weren’t fun, that right there makes it all worth it.

  1. Doesn’t it make you feel good to see those numbers? ๐Ÿ™‚ I gotta admit I like looking at the numbers on my blogs and seeing that. It’s somehow satisfying — all the time spent writing, it can seem like one is just shouting out into nowhere… but to see that people actually read and then when they comment, and you know you’ve made a connection — that feels good! ๐Ÿ™‚
