remind the people

For the next two weeks I will be dwelling in this verse:

Titus 3: 1&2

Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate and to show true humility toward all men.

I know the things I am seeing in these verses just off the top, but I would like to hear from any of you who may have input.  What nuggets do you find jump out at you when you read this verse?

  1. I have been reminding myself of a verse on that same track: Romans 13:1 “Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.”

Those verses tell me that God is in control and uses rulers and authorities for HIS greater good (whether they like it or not). And we have to trust God and know that His ultimate plan is bigger than what we may be experiencing now.
