Ginny has RSV.
That is NOT something I wanted to hear.
This is a respiratory bug that hits the lower portion of the lungs. They know she has it, the question now is how hard is it going to be for her. Some babies end up in the hospital, but most treat it just like a common cold.
Right now she is doing really well. She is happy and alert and doing fine.
Her breathing was rasping a little tiny bit this morning which was why we took her to the doctor today in the first place. When they tested her for RSV I was shocked. She hasn’t been around anyone that we know of who has had it, but adults can be carriers and not know it.
Please pray that Ginny will be comfortable with the medicine (it’s an inhaler type thing called a nebulizer) that they have her on and that Martin and my mom and I will be not freaked out.
God is good and He will take care of Ginny and of all of us.
